H. M. – the man that showed the link between brain function and memory

Henry Molaison, a.k.a. H.M., died on 2 December 2008. HM is one of the most studied patients in the history of neuropsychology: following an experimental operation in 1953, where parts of his brain were removed, HM was studied for decades, giving new insight into how or brain and memory works.
